SUMMARY:F*cking Feminists
DESCRIPTION:Theatre has always had a hold on me—whether it’s a gripping
play\, a musical\, or anything that breathes life into stories on stage.
But it wasn’t until my Creative Writing degree that I dipped my toes int
o playwriting properly. Discovering how words shift when spoken\, performe
d\, embodied—it opened up a whole new layer of storytelling that I insta
ntly fell in love with.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThat love deepened last May during t
he Springboard Festival at the Criterion Theatre\, where I took on my firs
t acting role since high school in Fcking Feminists* by the brilliant Rose
Lewenstein. Stepping onto that stage wasn’t just a return to performanc
e—it was a realisation. Up until that point\, I believed my voice in the
arts existed only through writing. But being in the cast\, collaborating
in rehearsals\, and becoming part of something bigger than myself made me
realise I could contribute to powerful work in more than one way.\n\n&nbsp
\;\n\nFcking Feminists* became a turning point for me. The play explores t
hemes of identity\, womanhood\, and intersectionality—topics that sit ri
ght at the core of who I am and what I stand for. Being part of a project
that tackled such urgent\, messy\, necessary conversations was the kind of
work I always wanted to be involved in. And it lit a fire in me—not jus
t for performing\, but for producing and building the spaces where these s
tories can be told.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIt was during this show that I found my
love for the production process—the late-night rehearsals\, the shared a
drenaline\, the collective vulnerability\, and the pure magic of watching
words become flesh. It’s miles away from any 9-to-5 I’ve ever done. Th
is experience didn’t just affirm my place in theatre—it expanded it. A
nd that’s when I realised: I don’t just want to tell stories. I want t
 o make them happen.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
